This sort of partnership is very important because it can stimulate students from poor backgrounds towards an awareness of being successful students and also towards a respect of the main differences among them.
Role in the project: The participation of our school, for it is situated in a rural area where the folk and popular features are still very present in people's daily lives, may contribute to get to know further information about the countless peoples and tribes that, in the past, shared our region and mingled with other people from other regions not only from Europe but also from the north of Africa (in our area we can easily find historical characteristics from Celtic, muslim and Sueves' culture which have been present in this region in songs and myths for generations and this diversity may increase our ability to respect the differences).
This sort of partnership is very important for it can promote the students from poor backgrounds to awake for the meaning of being successful students and also to respect the main differences among them. It is about time trying to mitigate the several types of (in)tolerance that exist both in the schools and in our western societies not only in economical terms but also when we refer to other differences (religious, physical, ethnical) or others.
